Day visitors  R234 Hopefield Road, Velddrif – turn at the red boat and follow the signs Knor Varkie Day Visitors is on the idyllic banks of the Bergriver on the West Coast.

Pet friendly for trained animals on a leash by prior arrangement.

  • Entry Time: 7am
  • Exit Time: 18h00
  • Report at the manager’s office
  • R50.00 p/p per day
  • Late departure for day visitors an extra tariff will be charged

  • Braai Drums / Dirt Bins
  • Tiled workspace to work your fish and bait
  • Wood and ice available to buy at the Rivershack Resturant
  • Slipway-boat launch (additional fee) / canoe
  • Life jacket rental available

 

Rules:

  • Please keep the workspaces clean after using
  • No fishing hooks and line to be left lying around
  • Pet owners to clean up pet poo
  • No music permitted
  • Life jackets must be used on boats
  • No beaching of boats
  • No water skiing or tubing off the jetty (this is allowed beyond the train bridge only)
  • The speed limit on all farm roads is 20km/h. The speed limit inside the premises is 5km/h
  • Knor Varkie will not be held responsible for any damages or injuries incurred on the premises
  • Day visitors are not allowed in the camping area.

 

Bring Along:

  • Chairs / cooler box / braai rooster / fishing rods / bait
  • Toilet paper
  • Swimming towel
  • Umbrella – Gazebo
  • Black bags
  • Toilets at rivershack resturant can be used
  • Cash payments only to be paid at the office – no card facilities
